It will perform any burning task you might throw at it from the usual CD to the DVD and also HD-DVD but I’m not sure on Blue-Ray though.

first leaked google phone app
Here is a leaked picture of a web app, said to be the secret project of WhatOpen. WhatOpen has also known to write the first wireless application for Google’s Android. Given that, you should see the connection there.

I’m getting excited about all this Android stuff. To see the possibility of what can be done with this open source, SDK based OS. :)

What is WhatOpen then?

No Google phone but Android?

November 6, 2007 | Posted in Tech News | No Comments »

Yeah, the long awaited so called Google Phone is actually not a phone itself. What a surprise or disappointment :| .

Instead Google has announced its entry to the wireless communication world by introducing a mobile phone software. Yeah you heard it right, a software. Mobile phones based on Google’s software are not expected to be available until the second half of next year (2008). But interesting enough, Google distribute this software under the “open source” license. This mean its free and the mobile phone manufacturer will have great freedom to change or add anything to suit their mobile phone funtion.

Among the companies that will manufacture handset based on Google software include HTC, LG, Motorola and Samsung. I reckon, we in Malaysia will be affected since LG, Motorola and Samsung has a strong market in Malaysia.

But why do Google being such a good boy? You might ask?

SyncToy 1.4

| Posted in Uncategorized | No Comments »

Recently a friend of mine told me a story about a friend who lost all  his data due to  hard drive problem. It wont be much of a problem if he has a backup in hand. But that is not the story. I can estimate roughly 60% of Malaysia university student never care to do backup for their project, assignment or homework. Let alone the whole  system backup it self.

This particular incident has made me realized that I haven’t installed any backup software on my laptop since it’s last trip to the service center.

First sofware come to my mind was the simple and free SyncToy from Microsoft. Currently the version is 1.4. You can download it from this site. This utility is very simple, it let you sync between two folder. One folder from your hard drive and another one is you backup folder. It has a very simple interface and can be quickly understood. So why not give it a try and who knows, it might safe you some day.
